8th Grade FFA Members Recognized
Launch the media gallery 1 playerSydney Wellsandt (left), 8th grade 4H and FFA member at the Syracuse Middle School, recently participated in the Catch-A-Calf contest at the National Western Stock Show and Rodeo in Denver, Colorado. Sydney was one of the lucky ones catching a calf. Sydney will receive a calf from sponsors of the stock show to raise and then return to the 2018 National Western Stock Show and exhibit in the National Western Stock Show Catch-A-Calf show next January. Congratulations, Sydney!
Madison Kreifels (right), 8th grade FFA member at Syracuse Middle School, was named a recipient of one of the National FFA Supervised Agriculture Experience (SAE) Grants. Madison received a check for $1,000 to start her SAE of growing and selling sweet corn in the summer of 2017. Because of Madison’s win, the local FFA chapter was selected to also win a $1,000 grant from the Agricultural Experience Tracker. Congratulations, Madison!
