Math and Science Websites

1. Rock Cycle-- This is a website that I would have my students go here to learn about the rock cycle. I would make a graphic organizer for them to use as they explore through the site.

2. Human Anatomy--This is a website where students can get information on the 3 types of systems we will be learning in fifth grade: skeletal, nervous and circulatory.

3. Newton's Laws of Motion--This website tells about Newton's 3 laws of motion that fifth graders will need to learn this year.

4. Bill Nye the Science Guy--You can get a lot of information off of this site. Bill shows you home experiments and answers questions.

5. Animal Planet--This is a great website if I would want to do a research project on an animal with my students.

6. Cool Science for Curious Kids--Cool scientific questions that students can explore, especially if they want an extra challenge.

7. Science Monster--This web site will meet some of my curriculum objectives in science this year. Student friendly wording and games that go right along with learning objectives.

8. Scholastic Kids--Many different web quests and activities my fifth graders can do in science or math.

9. Interactive Websites--Lots of choices to use for science or math.

10. Earth's Layers--One of the 5th grade science standards. Great visual for kids to see.

11. Roller Coaster--Kids can create their own roller coaster on this website.
